About the Volvo V60 Recharge
Practical, versatile, and well-engineered wagons have remained a strength throughout Volvo Cars' rich history. Today, Volvo continues to lead the United States market for luxury wagons. This strength continues through the Volvo V60 Recharge five-door, midsize premium wagon, setting a new standard for excellence. Designed with a spacious interior, the Volvo V60 Recharge leaves the assembly line constructed with Volvo Cars' Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform which also underpins the award-winning XC60 SUV. The V60 Recharge comes with a Polestar Optimized T8 All-Wheel Drive plug-in hybrid powertrain with 455 horsepower. Contemporary Swedish craftsmanship and premium materials make up the construction of the interior of the V60 Recharge. You'll also be surrounded by cutting-edge tech features to keep you safe, connected, and headed in the right direction.
What the Critics Say
"Extremely practical and studiously efficient while also rocket-fast when you put your foot down, this plug-in hybrid wagon is a civilized sleeper sledgehammer." — MotorTrend
"We're partial to the racier Recharge T8 Polestar, which forgoes the Cross Country's lifted suspension and SUV styling cues for a more performance-oriented look. Its ride is on the stiff side, but that's a compromise we're willing to make for the T8 powertrain's extra power and electric-only driving mode." — Car and Driver
What's New for 2024
Changes for 2024 are minor, but certainly welcome. The first change is that Volvo is no longer charging extra for metallic paint shades, and to go with this, the Black Stone option has been replaced by Vapour Gray metallic paint. The power liftgate and air purifier won’t cost extra either, as they are now standard equipment.
Volvo V60 Recharge Features
Stylish Scandinavian Design
Longer and lower than its predecessor, the Volvo V60 Recharge makes a dynamic first impression. Signature LED headlights feature the iconic Thor's Hammer T-shape design for a uniquely elegant yet sporty appearance. Other sport-focused design cues include its high gloss black front fascia and charcoal-colored front frille, adding an aggressive look when viewed from every angle.
A straight roofline as well as an upright rear window help create generous space and easy access to its cargo area via a power-operated tailgate. Open the panoramic moonroof to fill your cabin with fresh air and natural lighting. Integrated roof rails provide a stylish accent to the bold profile of the Volvo V60 Recharge.
Premium Interior
Paying homage to the Swedish heritage of Volvo Cars, premium materials found inside the V60 Recharge include its tailored dashboard – a unique treatment that is satisfying to the touch. A standard 9-inch touchscreen is flanked by distinctive air vents, featuring a vertical central strip with a metal finish. This sophisticated cabin is also equipped with sporty features including sculpted seating and a unique steering wheel design built for a driver-oriented cabin. In addition to greater interior space than previous generations, the V60 Recharge delivers advanced connectivity features including Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration. Standard 4G internet connectivity allows access to an even larger range of apps, allowing you to enjoy internet radio and audiobooks from the comfort of your V60 Recharge. And audiophiles will enjoy the 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins® sound system for unparalleled audio quality.
Capability & Safety
Since inventing the revolutionary 3-point seat belt in 1959, Volvo has remained steadfast as an industry leader in safety. A comprehensive list of safety features and driver support systems from the 90 Series and XC60 come standard on Volvo V60 Recharge, earning it a place as one of the safest cars in its class. Volvo Auto brake technology uses automatic braking and detection systems to assist drivers when avoiding potential collisions. This system is also the only one of its kind commercially available that can recognize pedestrians, cyclists, and large animals. Upgraded with improved cornering performance, the Pilot Assist system supports drivers with steering, acceleration, and braking on well-marked roads up to 80 MPH.
