What the Critics Say
"The XC90's interior is a masterpiece of the medium. From the attractive design to the quality of the materials, we wish there were more vehicles like this." - Car & Driver
"The three-row XC90 has a handsome interior with top-notch materials, room for up to seven occupants, and an expansive cargo area. It's loaded with advanced tech and safety features, and it offers engine options that provide great fuel economy and reasonably zippy performance. This is especially true of the T8 plug-in-hybrid variant." - U.S. News & World Report
What's New for 2023
Volvo made several changes to the XC90 for 2023, starting with completely restructuring the trim levels. They even added a third one, so for 2023, the 3 new trim levels are known as Core, Plus, and Ultimate. Several paint colors have been discontinued, but several more have been added. There is a new built-in Google infotainment operating system, based on Android Auto. But Apple users will still have the option of using CarPlay. And last but certainly not least, there is a bigger battery, up from 11.6 kWh to 18.8 kWh. This added power means horsepower has increased up to 455, and torque to 523lb-ft. The all-electric range has also improved dramatically, from 18 miles to 35.
