What's New for 2023
The big news for 2023 is that all forms of the gasoline-powered XC40 now also have a mild hybrid system. This means improved fuel economy and a horsepower bump for the base engine. Exterior styling has been tweaked, but not much. The roof is now body-colored with all paint options, and there is a new grille, headlights, and bumpers. The trim levels have been completely reworked, although there are still three of them, and the options for interior colors have been changed. The infotainment system has been changed as well, and is now powered by a Google-based operating system similar to Android Auto. But Volvo hasn't forgotten Apple users, CarPlay is still standard.
