For a pre-owned Volvo to become Certified by Volvo, it first needs to pass a rigorous certification process. First, we investigate each vehicle’s history through through a CARFAX Vehicle History Report looking for any odometer inconsistencies and if the vehicle has had any reported structural or frame damage. If the Vehicle History Report shows a “clean” history, the vehicle is then sent to our Volvo Certified Technicians who complete an exhaustive 170-point inspection and reconditioning process. Only after it passes each and every point of this inspection and reconditioning process can this pre-owned Volvo become Certified by Volvo.

170-Point Inspection

It’s hard for a detail to escape our factory-trained Volvo Technicians during the 170-point inspection. To be considered Certified by Volvo a vehicle must have less than 80,000 miles and pass each and every point of this comprehensive inspection and road test. During this 170-point inspection, we pay special attention to airbags, brakes, seat belts, glass and mirrors, exterior lights, tires, and wheels. When you’re considering a Certified by Volvo purchase, you can rest easy in the knowledge that this vehicle has been meticulously inspected, fully maintained, and above all – safe.

1-Year/Unlimited Mileage Warranty*

24/7 Roadside Assistance and Towing Benefits: In the Event of a Breakdown Call 1-800-63VOLVO

On-Site Service for Minor Breakdowns: We deliver a couple gallons of fuel, change a flat tire, provide a lockout service, or perform a battery jump to allow customers to proceed to their destination.

Emergency Towing Services: In the event of a mechanical disablement, we’ll arrange a complimentary tow to the nearest Volvo retailer.

Collision Towing: In the event of a traffic accident, we’ll arrange a complimentary tow from the location of the accident or from a tow yard to a Certified Volvo Collision Repair Facility.

Trip Interruption Benefits: Expense benefits are provided in the event of a warranty-related disablement occurring more than 150 miles from the customer’s primary residence up to $500.00, including meals, lodging, car rentals and more.

Volvo On Call App: Customers can initiate roadside assistance and track the entire experience on their mobile device in a seamless integration through our Volvo On Call App with 24/7/365 support.

Tow for Life: Even after the warranty has expired, whether the customer is the original owner or not, the vehicle is eligible for Tow for Life. With no cost, we will arrange to have the car towed to the nearest authorized Volvo retailer within a 25-mile radius.

Trip Routing: Provides detailed maps, clearly marked to indicate the most direct or scenic routes, to destinations anywhere in the U.S, Canada or Mexico.

Car Theft Protection Reward: If your vehicle is stolen, we’ll assist in its recovery by offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Factory Scheduled Maintenance

Depending on the model year of your Certified by Volvo vehicle, you may have some Factory Scheduled Maintenance coverage from the original warranty. In addition, we offer options to extend your prepaid Factory Scheduled Maintenance coverage – saving you money over the life of your Volvo.

Volvo’s Factory Scheduled Maintenance coverage plans:

• Are available for all models, up to 100,000-mile maintenance coverage.
• Can be used at any authorized Volvo retailer in the United States.

• Follow Volvo Factory Scheduled Maintenance intervals.
• Are fully transferable to the next owner at no cost.
